The introduction of the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 has placed additional obligations on building owners, design professionals and builders in relation to the Building Control process. We can provide a full range of the services that may be required from Architects in this regard.

FIRE SAFETY CERTIFICATES

We prepare applications for Fire Safety Certificates on all building types and can co-ordinate the involvement of specialist Fire- Safety Consultants where required. 

 

DISABILITY ACCESS CERTIFICATES

We prepare applications for Disability Access Certificates for new development and works to all types of existing buildings.

 

COMMENCEMENT NOTICES & DESIGN COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES

Acting in the role as Design Certifier, we prepare & submit the Commencement Notice & Design Compliance Certificate. We also co-ordinate the submission of drawings and specifications with the Commencement Notice as per the Code of Practice and the Ancillary Design Certificates from the other relevant Consultants.

 

ASSIGNED CERTIFIER

We can act in the role as Assigned Certifier as required under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014, including preparing and monitoring the Inspection Plan and Inspection Notification Framework, inspecting and co-ordinating the inspection activities of others during construction and certifying the building or works on completion,

 

CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE ON COMPLETION

Acting in the role as Assigned Certifier and in conjunction with the Building Contractor, we prepare & submit the Certificate of Compliance on Completion, co-ordinate the submission of Ancillary Certificates from Consultants & Specialists, accompanied by such plans, calculations, specifications and particulars as are necessary to outline how the works or building, as completed differs from those submitted for the purpose of the Commencement Notice.
